Senior Systems Engineer – Managed Services

About the role

We are seeking a Level 3+ Senior Systems Engineer to join our Managed Services team. The role involves delivering technology solutions for clients across professional services, construction and manufacturing, ensuring secure, connected and productive environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, secure and maintain Microsoft 365 environments (Entra ID, Copilot, Azure, Conditional Access, Intune, Office apps, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams).
• Lead migrations, upgrades and onboarding projects, including Microsoft 365 transitions and server rebuilds.
• Manage firewalls, VPNs and network infrastructure (Cisco Meraki, SonicWall).
• Oversee virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper‑V and Azure Virtual Machines.
• Implement security best practices, including MFA, conditional access, identity governance and endpoint protection.
• Develop and run automation scripts using PowerShell and Power Automate.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, recommend infrastructure improvements and respond to security incidents.
• Serve as Tier 3 escalation point for advanced client issues across infrastructure, cloud and security.
• Mentor Level 1‑2 technicians and document solutions.
• Design, implement and maintain Google Workspace and manage Apple devices via Addigy.
• Participate in compliance initiatives (CIS, NIST, HIPAA) and implement backup and disaster‑recovery strategies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in an MSP or multi‑tenant IT environment.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and remediation processes.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Azure infrastructure and Windows Server services.
• Proven expertise in networking, firewall management and RMM/PSA tools.
