Senior System Analyst

About the role

IQbusiness’s Technology Division is looking for an experienced Senior System Analyst to join its team within a leading banking environment. The role bridges business and technology, turning complex requirements into secure, scalable, and compliant solutions that support the bank’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse complex business requirements and produce detailed functional and system specifications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, testers and project teams to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, governance and regulatory standards.
• Support testing activities, including SIT and UAT, and assist with data mapping and integration design.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Systems Analyst, Senior Systems Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
• At least 5 years’ experience within banking or financial services delivering technology solutions in large, complex enterprises.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience across multiple business domains, enterprise applications and integration platforms (APIs, data models).

Required skills

• Requirements elicitation and analysis, functional and technical specification documentation.
• Process modelling using BPMN and UML, creation of use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Systems integration and API analysis, data mapping and data analysis.
• Enterprise application architecture, Agile delivery, SDLC and change management.
• Testing support (SIT/UAT) and knowledge of risk, governance and compliance in banking.
