Oracle Developer

Amidel is an Information Technology and Business Consulting Company that provides highly specialised solutions to large and small enterprises across both the private and public sectors. We are seeking an experienced Oracle Developer to support our enterprise clients in building, maintaining, and optimizing robust database solutions within high‑volume transactional systems. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast‑paced, complex environment, collaborating with business and technical teams to deliver mission‑critical Oracle database development and support.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Support application teams with SQL query optimisation and performance tuning.
• Create and maintain database objects such as tables, indexes, views, and synonyms.
• Collaborate with business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
• Perform impact analysis and assist with production support and incident resolution.
• Support ETL processes, data integration, and batch job execution.
• Implement and enforce data quality, security, and compliance controls.
• Produce technical documentation and hand over to support teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Oracle PL/SQL development experience.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and data modelling principles.
• Experience in enterprise‑grade, high‑transaction environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Oracle certifications are advantageous.

Required skills

• Oracle Database (12c, 19c or higher).
• PL/SQL development, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Indexing, partitioning, and query execution plan analysis.
• Oracle performance tools such as AWR, SQL Trace, and TKProf.
• Unix/Linux shell scripting for job automation.
• Agile development methodologies.
• Source‑control tools (Git, Bitbucket).
