Senior Sales Representative

About the role

NIL Africa, the exclusive delivery arm for NIL Learning in Sub‑Saharan Africa, is seeking a Senior Sales Representative to drive growth of its professional learning programmes and SaaS solutions. Based in Johannesburg, you will focus on expanding client relationships across Gauteng and nationally, targeting Tier 2 accounts with significant spend potential.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business and deepen existing Gauteng‑based and national client relationships.
• Manage Tier 2 accounts with annual spend potential of approximately R800,000 to R1,500,000.
• Conduct discovery meetings with HR, L&D, IT, procurement and executive stakeholders.
• Position professional learning programmes, learnerships, skills‑development solutions and SaaS offerings.
• Create proposals, lead negotiations and ensure margin discipline aligned with business expectations.
• Maintain CRM accuracy, forecast pipeline and progress opportunities through a disciplined sales process.

Required profile

• 5+ years of B2B sales experience in a target‑driven environment.
• Proven consultative or solution‑selling expertise.
• Track record of achieving revenue targets, preferably R5 million or more annually.
• Experience engaging corporate or enterprise clients.
• Strong commercial acumen and professional communication skills.
• Background in learnerships, skills development or corporate education sales is a plus.
