Senior Reservations & Booking Consultant

About the role

Pace Car Rental is seeking a Senior Reservations & Booking Consultant to manage customer reservations, drive sales growth and support the reservations team in Johannesburg. The role combines front‑line customer service with leadership responsibilities, ensuring smooth rental operations and high client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers with reservations, modifications, cancellations and inquiries.
• Resolve billing issues, complaints and overbooking situations.
• Handle escalated queries and oversee rental extensions.
• Collaborate with the risk team on non‑payment issues.
• Support fleet availability and optimise rental opportunities.
• Promote additional services such as upgrades and insurance to meet sales targets.
• Generate performance reports and provide feedback to the Reservations Manager.
• Train, mentor and coach junior agents to improve team performance.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in customer service and reservations within the car‑rental or travel sector.
• Strong sales acumen and ability to meet targets.
• Leadership or mentoring experience.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
