Senior Project Manager – Lead Complex Projects

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives from initiation through to successful delivery. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure projects align with strategic business objectives, are completed on time, within scope and budget, and deliver measurable value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale projects, establishing clear scope, timelines and budgets.
• Set up and maintain project governance, including risk, issue and change control processes.
• Engage sponsors, owners and stakeholders proactively to manage expectations and ensure alignment.
• Produce concise progress reports and presentations for senior leadership.
• Develop detailed project plans, milestones and deliverables in collaboration with delivery teams.
• Coordinate dependencies, track progress and drive timely completion of critical activities.
• Provide guidance, motivation and direction to project teams and external vendors.
• Mentor junior project managers or coordinators where required.
• Monitor project quality, ensuring outputs meet agreed standards.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks and issues throughout the lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Project Management, Business or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM or Scrum Master is preferred.
• Minimum 8 + years of project management experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role.
• Proven track record of delivering multi‑stakeholder, business and technical projects successfully.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Smart Sheets for planning and reporting.
