Senior Programme Manager – Hybrid (South Africa)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Programme Manager to lead high‑impact technology and business transformation programmes across multiple markets in South Africa. The role is hybrid, combining on‑site collaboration with remote work, and requires strong governance, stakeholder management, and delivery expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple projects and programmes, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
• Manage programme governance, reporting, risk, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams and complex stakeholder environments.
• Oversee resource planning, allocation, and utilisation across initiatives.
• Manage vendor and partner relationships to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
• Drive change management, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to project and programme teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
• PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
• Strong experience managing large‑scale technology transformation programmes.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL) principles.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and stakeholders.
• Exposure to cloud‑based transformation projects.
• Strong commercial, financial, and risk management skills.
