Senior Manager – Quality & Risk EQR Support

About the role

As a Senior Manager you will provide audit technical support and focused interventions to Deloitte Africa’s public audit practice. You will assist Engagement Quality Review Partners in performing Engagement Quality Reviews on complex audit engagements and coach audit teams to ensure high‑quality, compliant audit outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide deep technical and specialised support to audit engagement teams to ensure compliance with professional standards and legislation.
• Assist Engagement Quality Review Partners in conducting Engagement Quality Reviews (EQR) on complex engagements.
• Coach engagement teams to improve audit documentation quality and mitigate risks.
• Review financial statements, audit committee documents and other deliverables for completeness and accuracy.
• Develop and deliver training to accredit EQRs and build high‑performing individuals and teams.

Required profile

• Registered CA(SA) with 4‑7 years of management experience, including at least 3 years in an external audit management role.
• Strong organisational, planning and coaching abilities with excellent interpersonal skills across all levels.
• High attention to detail, business acumen and a proactive, solution‑focused mindset.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of the full MS Office suite.
• Specialisation in the application of International Auditing Standards (ISAs).
• Familiarity with PCAOB standards (beneficial).
