Senior Manager - Investment Promotion and Facilitation

About the role

The City of Tshwane is looking for a Senior Manager to promote the city as an investment destination for local and foreign direct investment. The role covers investor targeting, recruitment, promotion and facilitation, and building an investment pipeline for TEDA.

Key responsibilities

• Promote the city as an investment destination for local and foreign direct investment.
• Develop plans for investor targeting, recruitment, promotion and facilitation for TEDA's key target sectors.
• Build an image-building strategy by communicating the positive aspects of the location.
• Develop an investor targeting strategy and showcase the investment potential of Tshwane.
• Initiate and facilitate investment initiatives and develop investment promotion best-practice guidelines.
• Facilitate the investment establishment process and maintain an investor lead database.
• Manage advertising, missions, events, presentations and direct investor meetings in line with leads generated.
• Undertake periodic investment intelligence studies and coordinate industry events and information dissemination with key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Business Management, Project Management or a related field (NQF level 7).
• At least 8 years' experience in investment promotion, economic development, business development or management.
• At least 5 years of management experience and 3 years in high-level stakeholder engagement.
• Added advantage: Honours degree (NQF level 8) and advanced knowledge of investment promotion and facilitation.
