Senior Manager – Contracts and Performance Management

About the role

The Senior Manager – Contracts and Performance Management will lead the municipality’s contract lifecycle, from drafting specifications to post‑contract review, ensuring compliance with statutory and departmental requirements. The role supports strategic procurement and performance monitoring across all municipal services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide input for bid specification documentation, incorporating contractual terms for prospective bidders.
• Standardise contract and service‑level agreement templates, reflecting departmental needs.
• Maintain a comprehensive contract register and ensure all contract and tender documents are up‑to‑date.
• Develop and oversee contract administration plans for each project.
• Manage contract change procedures and conduct post‑contract reviews.

Required profile

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Public Administration, BCom or LLB.
• Minimum six years’ experience in legal or supply‑chain contract management.
• Experience managing supply‑chain information or specialist contract‑management expertise.
• Valid B/EB driver’s licence.
• Certificate in Municipal Financial Management (or obtain within 18 months of appointment).
