Senior Internal Audit Professional

About the role

Fugro's global Internal Audit team, based in Nootdorp, The Netherlands, is looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious (Senior) Internal Audit Professional to join its Cape Town office. The role involves travelling 15-20% with a colleague and performing work in several locations worldwide, and calls for cultural sensitivity and strong integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and take part in international audit engagements covering business processes, organisations, projects and reporting processes
• Coordinate and carry out work in the office and on international assignments, with teamwork as a key element
• Act as a sparring partner for local, regional and corporate management
• Suggest follow-up activities for observations and present improvement areas to raise process levels
• Ensure a high level of quality with a focus on the efficiency and effectiveness of internal processes
• Develop professional competencies and personal network, preparing for future career opportunities

Required profile

• Master's degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration, or CIA or CA (SAICA) qualification
• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Proven internal audit or "Big 4" background preferred
• Sound understanding of Internal Audit standards and possession of, or willingness to obtain, CIA
• Strong written, communication and English language skills
• Availability to travel for business; internal work experience is a plus
