Category Buyer (French Speaking) - 6 Month Fixed Term

About the role

Vivo Energy is hiring a French-speaking Category Buyer for a 6-month fixed-term contract in Cape Town. The role drives transactional sourcing and end-to-end procure-to-pay processes within the Limits of Authority (LOA) framework, ensuring business requirements are met and performance is delivered.

Key responsibilities

• Procure-to-pay management: run transactional sourcing for POs up to R3M, manage supplier selection, requests for quotation and negotiations
• Create purchase orders and support non-strategic category sourcing through RFI, RFQ and RFP documents, and assist with contract creation and management
• Ensure compliance with procurement processes and audit requirements, and manage contract compliance
• Take ownership of open and post-facto purchase orders so they are ready for execution
• Manage data, report accurately on all procurement transactions and analyse performance against targets
• Build relationships with government authorities, businesses, industry players and service providers, and foster a competent team
• Champion COBE, POPI and ABC policies and enforce limits of authority and good governance

Required profile

• NQF Level 6 (Diploma in Finance, Supply Chain or related)
• Minimum 4 years of procurement experience, including procure-to-pay
• Experience in procurement buying and SAP procurement systems
• Able to travel when required
