Senior Google Cloud Engineer – GCP Platform Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Google Cloud Engineer to design, build and operate modern cloud platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role blends hands‑on engineering with architectural guidance and mentorship for engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and support secure, scalable GCP environments and landing zones.
• Establish governance frameworks and cloud foundations.
• Provide architectural guidance on scalability, performance, security, compliance and reliability.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Support Kubernetes and container platforms (Docker, GKE).
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation and DevOps practices.
• Implement observability, monitoring and logging solutions.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver integrated cloud solutions.
• Mentor engineers and help build platform engineering capabilities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cloud or platform engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with GCP and enterprise‑scale cloud environments.
• Proven ability to lead technical discussions and influence architecture decisions.
• Experience in customer‑facing or consulting environments.
• Exposure to multi‑cloud (AWS or Azure) is a plus.
