About the role
A Johannesburg-based hybrid position for a Senior Full Stack Developer to lead the design, development and deployment of brand-new web and mobile applications for an African automotive platform. The company combines vehicle listings with editorial content and buying advice, and its engineering team works closely with the CTO on architecture, feature building and deployment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and deployment of the company's web and mobile platforms
- Contribute to application architecture and build Next.js interfaces and Laravel APIs
- Manage containerised deployments using Docker and Kubernetes
- Optimise performance and security through Cloudflare
- Strengthen automated testing and CI/CD
- Mentor intermediate developers through code reviews and technical guidance
Required profile
- 5+ years of experience in full stack software development (web and mobile)
- Experience mentoring intermediate developers
Required skills
- Laravel backend and Next.js frontend development
- Hands-on AWS experience
- Docker and Kubernetes deployment experience
- React Native, Flutter or PWA development experience
- Automated testing and CI/CD experience
