Senior Export Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Export Controller to oversee global air and sea export shipments, ensuring compliance with international regulations and delivering efficient service to our corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end export shipments, from booking to final delivery, for both air and sea cargo.
• Generate and process Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, customs declarations, and certificates of origin.
• Ensure cargo complies with international shipping laws, hazardous goods rules, and port customs requirements.
• Reserve space with shipping lines, co‑loaders, and airlines to optimise transit times and costs.
• Issue client invoices, approve supplier payments, and resolve billing discrepancies.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for key corporate accounts regarding delays or route deviations.

Required profile

• 5–8+ years of experience handling air and sea freight exports within a freight forwarding agency.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Incoterms, port operations, customs clearing systems, and dangerous goods regulations.
• High proficiency with the freight management software “Ship Shape”.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, solve problems quickly, and communicate effectively.
