Senior Engineer – Electricity Pricing & Tariffs (3‑Year Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Our client is looking for a Senior Engineer to join the Electricity Pricing and Tariffs Department. You will provide technical expertise for assessing tariff applications, price determinations, and analysing performance data.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical assessments of electricity tariff applications.
• Integrate technical and financial analyses to support pricing decisions.
• Analyse performance and efficiency data of generation, transmission and distribution assets.
• Provide regulatory support and advisory services.
• Engage with internal stakeholders and external agencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's, BTech or Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Eligibility for registration with ECSA (advantageous).
• Post‑graduate qualification in power systems, energy engineering or related field (advantageous).
• Minimum five years of experience in the electricity sector, preferably in utility operations, performance analysis or tariff regulation.
• Strong analytical ability and clear written communication.
