Senior Electrical Technician

About the role

Alpha Power Solutions, a specialist electrical solutions provider, is expanding its technical team in Johannesburg. The Senior Electrical Technician will support industrial and commercial clients by ensuring high‑quality power systems and efficient energy use.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, service and maintain power factor correction (PFC) equipment, harmonic filters and surge protection devices.
• Install new PFC equipment, harmonic filters and surge protection systems.
• Conduct electrical system inspections to facilitate new equipment installations.
• Perform data logging for load profiling and power‑quality analysis.
• Analyse data, prepare reports and present findings to customers and internal teams.
• Coordinate with assistants, compile quotations, costings and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Trade‑tested electrical qualification with solid technical experience.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities in industrial or commercial settings.
• Ability to work independently on site and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport; residence in Johannesburg or willingness to relocate.
