Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

About the role

LexisNexis Legal & Professional is looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to shape and evolve its global CI/CD platform. You will partner with development teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable delivery pipelines, while building reusable infrastructure‑as‑code templates and tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Develop and support Jenkins shared libraries, pipeline templates, and reusable deployment patterns, and migrate legacy pipelines to standardized CI/CD approaches.
• Integrate automated security, quality, and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve observability across delivery and runtime environments using tools such as OpenTelemetry.
• Build and maintain Python‑based tooling, packages, and automation to enhance platform capability and developer experience.
• Leverage AI tools in day‑to‑day engineering workflows to boost efficiency.
• Collaborate with application teams to design CI/CD flows that balance team needs with platform standards.
• Create and maintain onboarding guides, technical documentation, and best‑practice resources.
• Provide operational support for team‑owned pipelines and platform components, including during critical incidents.
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with AWS and infrastructure‑as‑code using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation across multiple environments.
• Proven track record designing, building, and supporting CI/CD platforms, especially with Jenkins shared libraries and pipeline templates.
• Strong Python programming skills for building reusable tooling and automation.
• Experience integrating security, quality, and compliance checks into delivery pipelines.
• Ability to improve observability using modern telemetry solutions.
