Sales Team Leader - Water Technologies

About the role

Veolia Water Technologies is looking for a Sales Team Leader to drive sales of its technologies and products in the Sub-Saharan region. The role focuses on expanding market share and revenue, building a strong pipeline of opportunities and closing profitable deals with clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share and revenue in the Sub-Saharan region.
• Identify key growth sectors and position Veolia Technologies & Products during the early selling cycle.
• Achieve and exceed sales, growth and profitability targets by selling through direct, indirect, EPC and end-user channels.
• Build strong professional relationships with key markets and support their sales activities.
• Proactively build a pipeline of active opportunities in mining, food & beverage, oil & gas and general industries.
• Negotiate and close profitable deals in line with Veolia processes and guidelines.
• Support the implementation of the QHSE management system (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and comply with occupational health and safety rules.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or similar.
• 7 to 10 years of technical experience in water and waste treatment.
• 5 to 7 years of sales and business development in water and wastewater, industrial, mining and municipal markets.
• Experience selling complex technology solutions and selling through distributors and resellers.
• Ability to work in a matrix organisation and to meet sales targets and schedule commitments.
• Experience with senior client representatives and government officials; able to travel freely to meet customers in Africa.
• English and French recommended.

• Enhanced computer skills, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
