About the role
Hinterland is seeking a customer‑focused Sales Clerk to support daily retail operations at its Hoopstad branch. The role involves assisting customers in selecting and purchasing agricultural products, delivering excellent service, and contributing to the branch’s sales targets. The clerk will also ensure compliance with credit record checks and support transformation initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Provide professional product advice and help customers choose suitable agricultural items.
- Process sales transactions and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
- Drive direct sales by meeting daily, weekly and monthly targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized retail environment.
- Handle cash and credit transactions in accordance with company policies.
Required profile
- National Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a direct sales or retail environment.
- Proven ability to meet sales targets and handle cash transactions.
- Strong understanding of customer‑service principles and retail processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
