About the role
We are seeking a qualified Risk & Compliance Officer/Specialist to support our client’s finance team. The role focuses on ensuring adherence to South African financial services and insurance regulations while managing compliance risk.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the Financial Services Industry and relevant insurance legislation.
- Monitor compliance with the Insurance Act, Long‑ and Short‑Term Insurance Acts, PPRs, FICA, FAIS, the General Code of Conduct, POPI and TCF principles.
- Interpret and apply SAIA and ASISA standards within the business environment.
Required profile
- Legal degree recognised in terms of FAIS.
- Admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
- 3‑5 years of experience in financial services compliance.
- Strong knowledge of insurance legislation, FICA, FAIS, POPI, TCF and related standards.
- Understanding of general business legislation applicable in South Africa.
