Reward Cost Analyst

About the role

OUTsurance is seeking a Reward Cost Analyst to join its Corporate Actuarial short‑term capital team. The role focuses on analysing, monitoring and reporting remuneration‑related data and costs, providing insights that support decision‑making, payroll governance, budgeting, compliance and reward programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse remuneration costs, trends and variances to deliver actionable insights.
• Conduct cost movement analysis, benchmarking, pay‑equity assessments and scenario modelling.
• Model and forecast the financial impact of remuneration and benefit changes.
• Investigate remuneration queries and provide data‑driven recommendations.
• Prepare and submit benchmarking data to external survey providers.
• Compare internal pay practices against market benchmarks and develop reports, dashboards and management information.
• Perform payroll reconciliations, validation checks and control reviews to ensure data accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Economics, Data Science or a related quantitative discipline.
• 3–5 years of analytical experience, preferably in reward or compensation analysis.
• Strong numerical, analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• High attention to detail, problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement capabilities.

• Advanced Excel
