Retail Accountant & Admin Manager

About the role

An established FMCG retail and manufacturing group is seeking an experienced Retail Accountant to manage financial systems, revenue and operational controls across multiple stores.

Key responsibilities

• Manage POS and retail‑system integrity across all stores
• Oversee daily revenue, cash‑ups, clearing accounts and variance investigations
• Ensure correct VAT mapping and tender configurations
• Prepare weekly gross profit reports and monthly budget forecasts
• Lead the Admin Manager and Cash Office team
• Support system setup and training for new store openings

Required profile

• BCom Accounting or equivalent NQF 7 qualification
• 5+ years’ finance experience
• At least 2 years’ multi‑store retail experience
• Team leadership experience
• Clear driver’s licence, credit and criminal record

Required skills

• Sigma (preferred)
• IQ Retail, GAAP or Arch
• Advanced Excel
• VAT mapping and cash‑up reconciliation
