Reservations Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Reservations Manager to lead the reservations team at our Accor hotel in Cape Town. The role is responsible for handling all guest reservations via phone, fax, internet and email, while maximizing room sales and ensuring a smooth experience for group and conference bookings.

Key responsibilities

• Answer all reservation calls promptly and process bookings according to hotel policy.
• Manage group and conference reservations, including contract rates, rooming lists and billing issues.
• Oversee the reservations team, providing training, coaching and performance monitoring.
• Coordinate with the Rooms Division Manager and Revenue Manager on stop‑sell, yield management and RevMax meetings.
• Handle cancellations, no‑shows, VIP bookings and end‑of‑month reconciliation of complimentary rooms.
• Maintain accurate documentation, forward reservations and ensure compliance with the Hotel Guarantee Policy.

Required profile

• Proactive multitasker able to work under pressure and deliver a high level of customer service.
• Experience in managing a reservations team and handling group bookings.
• Strong communication skills for liaising with conference organizers, revenue managers and other hotel departments.
• Knowledge of hotel reservation procedures and ability to enforce stop‑sell and rate controls.
