About the role

The Registered Nurse/Midwife will deliver safe, cost‑effective, high‑quality patient care in line with hospital standards. You will be responsible for both direct and indirect nursing care, assessing, planning, executing and supervising care to meet patient needs.

Key responsibilities

Provide patient care within the Scope of Practice and assume full responsibility for assigned activities.
Contribute to holistic patient care and attend handover reports at shift start.
Communicate clearly with patients about their care and promote health and wellbeing.
Audit health records for compliance and ensure proper stock control.
Maintain positive public relations with patients, relatives and visitors.

Required profile

Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse/Midwife (or equivalent).
NQF Level 7 qualification or relevant specialist qualification.
Relevant experience in a specialist nursing area.
Flexibility to work varied shifts.

Required skills

Advanced computer literacy.
