Registered Nurse – ICU Trained

About the role

A leading private healthcare facility in Richards Bay is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with ICU training to join its Critical Care team. The role involves delivering high‑quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast‑paced intensive care environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, high‑quality nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
• Monitor, assess and manage critically ill patients continuously.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately.
• Maintain precise patient records and documentation.
• Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with SANC regulations, infection‑prevention protocols and hospital policies.
• Participate in quality‑improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.

Required profile

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse.
• Previous ICU experience in a private hospital setting.
• Strong clinical knowledge and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
