Registered Nurse / Enrolled Nurse - Occupational Health

About the role

Care Net Consultants is seeking a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to join its occupational health team at the Brackenfell clinic. You will perform medical surveillance assessments both on‑site at client premises and within the clinic, delivering compassionate, evidence‑based care under the supervision of an Occupational Health Nurse and Medical Practitioner.

Key responsibilities

• Measure and record vital signs (BP, pulse, BMI, glucose, urinalysis).
• Conduct screening procedures such as audiometry, spirometry and vision tests where required.
• Document findings in real time using the MyClinicOnline (MCO) system.
• For Registered Nurses: lead pre‑employment, periodic, exit, transfer and return‑to‑work assessments, take comprehensive histories, and supervise Enrolled Nurses and technicians.
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards, use PPE appropriately, and ensure POPIA compliance.
• Support clinic readiness, equipment calibration, stock management and coordinate bookings with Sales, Operations and Finance.
• Travel across the Western Cape for mobile clinics and health campaigns.

Required profile

• Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
• Willingness to work within the SANC scope of practice and follow Care Net clinical protocols.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development (minimum 5 CPD hours per quarter).

Required skills

• Proficiency with MyClinicOnline (MCO) system.
• Ability to perform audiometry, spirometry and vision screening.
• Competence in vital signs measurement, urinalysis and glucose testing.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control procedures and proper PPE usage.
• Equipment calibration and stock management skills.
• Understanding of POPIA compliance for patient information.
