Registered Nurse - Case Manager

About the role

The Registered Nurse – Case Manager will deliver safe, cost‑effective, high‑quality patient care in line with hospital standards, overseeing both direct and indirect nursing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide patient care within the professional scope and assume full responsibility for assigned patients.
• Assess, plan, execute, and supervise individualized care plans.
• Contribute to holistic patient wellbeing and promote health education.
• Attend shift handovers and communicate care plans effectively.
• Audit health records for compliance and maintain accurate documentation.
• Control and manage medical stock, ensuring proper charging and crediting.

Required profile

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse/Midwife (NQF 7 qualification).
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Hospital Case Manager.
• Computer literate and flexible to work shifts.
• Ability to implement and uphold health practice standards and relevant legislation.
• BLS/ALS certification is an advantage.
