Regional General Manager – Johannesburg

About the role

The Regional General Manager will lead a multi‑functional hub covering sales, distribution and manufacturing across Gauteng, North West, Mpumalanga and key African export markets. Reporting directly to the CEO and Board, the GM is responsible for commercial performance, service quality and product consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of approximately 80 staff across logistics, procurement, production, health & safety, finance, sales support and administration.
• Build a culture of accountability, teamwork and operational discipline aligned with company values.
• Develop and execute branch strategies that protect assets, drive growth and manage financial and operational risks.
• Set and monitor annual performance targets for sales, stock management, order fulfilment and expense control.
• Ensure organisational structure remains fit‑for‑purpose and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven experience managing sales, logistics, production and distribution environments.
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing, supply‑chain, customer service and warehousing operations.
• Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Ability to thrive under pressure and make timely decisions.
