Receptionist / Night Auditor

About the role

City Lodge Hotel Bryanston is looking for a Receptionist / Night Auditor to join its team. The role covers all reception and night audit duties, plus any extra tasks assigned by management, with the overall aim of making every guest a returning and referring guest. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and register guests on arrival, answer telephone calls and respond to guest queries and requests.
• Manage guest departures, process reservations and promote room sales.
• Perform front office administrative tasks and deliver courteous, efficient service to guests and suppliers.
• Handle money and authorise and deposit company funds; the role is subject to a fraud and credit check.
• Carry out administrative and accounting tasks to the required standard, following internal controls and safeguarding revenue.
• Store documentation and correspondence according to company policy and comply with all compliance requirements.
• Maintain brand and group standards, build professional relationships with guests, travel agents, corporate clients and tour operators, and share ideas that could improve the group's offering.
• Take part in legislative and operational training and develop personal growth plans.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification.
• Computer literacy is essential, especially with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Front office or reception experience is advantageous.
• Willingness to work long hours and shifts as required by the hospitality industry.

• Familiarity with phone systems and Property Management Systems (PMS)
• Customer service, verbal and written communication and conflict management
• Administrative procedures and health and safety regulations
