Raw Materials Planner – Ensure Supply & Warehouse Efficiency

About the role

The Raw Materials Planner will oversee the Raw Materials Department to guarantee accurate stock control and a continuous supply of both macro and micro raw materials for production. This role is pivotal in coordinating material intake, managing warehouse productivity, and supporting the overall manufacturing workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct physical stock takes and investigate variances, providing feedback.
• Manage intake of raw material trucks by liaising with relevant stakeholders.
• Drive warehouse productivity by ensuring efficient truck turnaround times.
• Report on tonnes received and maintain housekeeping standards in the area of responsibility.
• Resolve supplier issues and maintain strong frontline supplier interactions.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ, ISO 9000, ISO 22000, ISO 14000, and ISO 18000 standards.
• Implement legislative and industry safety, health, environmental, and risk standards.

Required profile

• Grade 12 education, preferably with a tertiary qualification in Business Fundamentals or Logistics.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership abilities and proven computer proficiency.
