Quality Assurance Team Member – GMP Facility for Advanced Therapies

About the role

The Department of Biomedicine at the University of Basel seeks a motivated Quality Assurance Team Member to support its GMP Facility for Advanced Therapies. Working in a state‑of‑the‑art cleanroom environment, you will help translate innovative ATMP projects from research to clinical trials.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in transferring processes from the Department of Biomedicine to the new facility at the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering.
• Perform supplier qualification, audits of material suppliers and service providers, and manage material inventories.
• Support the core facility team and users with GMP‑compliant documentation.
• Guide users in implementing their projects from research phase to GMP compliance.
• Participate in regulatory inspections and internal audits.
• Validate quality‑control assays, specifically flow cytometry (FACS) methods.

Required profile

• Experience in GMP‑compliant manufacturing of ATMPs in a cleanroom setting, following PIC/S and Swiss legislation.
• University degree in natural sciences, preferably biology.
• Strong reliability, sense of responsibility, and excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); German is an asset.
