Quality Assurance Officer – Benoni

About the role

We are seeking an independent Quality Assurance Officer to ensure product compliance and drive Integrated Management System (IMS) adherence within a manufacturing environment that serves the electrical, cable, wiring harness and plastics sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits of physical products, production processes, job cards and IMS procedures.
• Verify product conformity against drawings, specifications and customer requirements, and manage non-conforming items.
• Receive, record and investigate customer quality complaints, determine root causes and implement containment actions.
• Administer Non-Conformance Reports, audit findings and corrective-action requests, and confirm their effectiveness.
• Support external audit preparation and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, SANS and IEC standards.
• Maintain accurate, traceable quality records, including audit reports and inspection results.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Relevant qualification in Quality Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Completed Internal Auditor training with working knowledge of ISO 9001.
• Strong analytical, investigative and communication skills, with high independence and attention to detail.
