Public Area Cleaner

About the role

As a Public Area Cleaner you will be part of the Housekeeping team at Malmaison Dundee, ensuring that all public spaces are spotless and welcoming for guests. The role involves working set shifts, primarily in the mornings, and requires a keen eye for detail and a high standard of cleanliness.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all public areas of the hotel on a daily basis, including lobbies, corridors, and restrooms.
• Interact courteously with guests, providing a positive impression of the hotel.
• Follow health and safety procedures, using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely.
• Work independently for periods of time while adhering to scheduled shift patterns.
• Support the team during peak periods and adapt to flexible scheduling when required.

Required profile

• Good conversational English to communicate with guests.
• Ability to work physically demanding tasks and maintain fitness levels.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn on the job.
• Availability to work set shifts, typically 5 days a week starting at 7 am or 8 am.
