Project Manager

About the role

As a Project Manager at ABB, you will lead the execution of medium‑size electrification projects, ensuring all activities comply with ABB policies, standards and contractual obligations. The role is based onsite in Johannesburg and contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the execution of complex electrical engineering projects from start to finish.
• Ensure all project activities meet quality, health, safety, environmental, financial and schedule targets.
• Coordinate and guide project team members to deliver contracted deliverables on time.
• Maintain compliance with procedures, regulations, specifications and ABB standards.

Required profile

• BTech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with a project management qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of project management experience in the electrical engineering field.
• Strong communication skills and excellent command of English.
• Professional Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is desirable.
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
