Experienced Millwright – Mining Maintenance

About the role

Hire Resolve's client is seeking an experienced Millwright Artisan to join a mining operation in Gauteng. The role focuses on executing planned, preventative and breakdown electrical and mechanical maintenance to improve equipment reliability, minimise downtime and maximise plant and infrastructure availability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on site services and utilities equipment and installations.
• Execute planned, preventative and corrective maintenance within required timeframes.
• Attend to equipment breakdowns and restore equipment safely and efficiently.
• Identify and proactively address electrical and mechanical faults.
• Complete SAP PM work orders accurately and within required timeframes.
• Provide daily feedback on completed maintenance work.
• Plan and organise assigned work to meet weekly and monthly maintenance targets.
• Communicate maintenance progress, equipment condition and outstanding work to the Engineering Foreman.
• Support the maintenance of electrical, gas and water infrastructure.
• Maintain infrastructure associated with buildings, grounds and structures.

Required profile

• Grade 12.
• Minimum N3 certificate in Electro‑Mechanical Engineering.
• Millwright Trade Test Certificate.
• 3‑5 years' experience as a qualified Millwright with smelter/furnace experience.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in medium voltage switching.
• Valid driver’s licence.
