Programme Coordinator

About the role

FSAT Labs, a non-profit technology incubator and accelerator based in Cape Town, is looking for a Programme Coordinator to support its programmes and events across the African tech ecosystem. The role covers corporate open innovation challenges, startup acceleration programmes and flagship summit events, working at the intersection of technology, startups and corporate innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leadership to plan and execute programmes, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, budgets and resource allocation
• Own logistics, operations, administration, scheduling, calendar management and event planning
• Engage with founders in coaching and advisory sessions, assess early-stage ideas and teams, and present entrepreneurship content
• Develop event plans, choose venues, oversee logistics (transport, catering, AV, accommodation) and work with marketing teams on promotion
• Manage client and sponsor expectations, coordinate cross-functional teams and negotiate contracts with suppliers and venues
• Create and manage budgets, identify risks, track progress against milestones and compile post-programme reports with KPIs

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Event Management or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in programme, project or event management, ideally in the tech, startup or innovation ecosystem
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and communication with founders, corporates and investors
• Interest in technology, startups, entrepreneurship and venture capital
• Willingness to travel, up to 50% within Africa

Required skills

• Project management and productivity tools such as ClickUp, Google Suite and Canva (basic Adobe Suite advantageous)
• Negotiation and vendor management
• Problem solving under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
