Production Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an early‑career Production Engineer to join our growing global IoT hardware business in South Africa. The role bridges hardware engineering, production documentation and contract manufacturing, ensuring each production run is accurate, controlled and ready for execution.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with hardware engineers, suppliers and contract manufacturers to prepare production runs.
• Support production readiness, resolve build issues and improve tooling, documentation and quality processes.
• Travel locally to contract manufacturers as required.

Required profile

• BEng or bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering.
• 0‑3 years of experience in production, manufacturing or industrial engineering.
• Familiarity with BOM structures, product configuration control and ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Cin7, DEAR, SAP, Syspro).
• Experience creating assembly guides, work instructions and production data packs.
• Knowledge of quality‑control processes, root‑cause analysis, engineering change control (ECN) and continuous improvement.
