Process Controller – Bulk (Inland) – Water Supply Services

About the role

The Process Controller – Bulk (Inland) is responsible for overseeing the operational monitoring and maintenance of the inland water supply treatment processes within the municipality. The role ensures that treatment equipment functions correctly and that water quality standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct operational monitoring of water treatment processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and operational targets.
• Monitor treatment processes continuously and record performance data for analysis and reporting.
• Identify, isolate, and report any defective equipment promptly to minimise downtime.
• Carry out routine maintenance on treatment plant machinery to sustain optimal performance.

Required profile

• Grade 10 or N1 qualification together with a Water Treatment, Water Care or Water Purification Process Control certificate (NQF level 2).
• Registered as a Class 2 Process Controller, demonstrating competence in process oversight.
• Valid B/EB driver’s licence for travel to plant sites.
• At least five years’ experience working at a recognised water treatment plant.
