Irrigation Maintenance Farmworker

About the role

Heritage Management Group is looking for a dedicated and hardworking person to maintain irrigation systems and farm gardens in Stellenbosch. The role suits someone who is passionate about sustainability, enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in keeping irrigation systems and gardens in good order. Remuneration is described as competitive and negotiable.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and manage gardens across all farm properties
• Ensure the proper use and upkeep of tools and equipment
• Support general farm maintenance activities
• Adhere to health and safety regulations

Required profile

• South African citizenship; all references must be contactable
• Valid driver's licence and reliable personal transport
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in an irrigation role on a farm or estate
• Matric is advantageous; local Stellenbosch candidates preferred

Required skills

• Knowledge of installing, maintaining and repairing irrigation systems
• Proficiency in operating garden tools and equipment
• Effective communication to ensure efficient service delivery
• Strong teamwork skills
