Planning Engineer – EPC Projects (Midrand)

About the role

The Planning Engineer will develop, maintain and monitor project schedules for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects. The role supports successful delivery by providing schedule control, progress measurement and risk identification.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline, look‑ahead and recovery schedules.
• Monitor progress against approved schedules and identify delays, constraints and risks.
• Produce schedule reports, dashboards and planning updates.
• Coordinate planning activities with project teams and support budgeting and resource loading.
• Implement and maintain schedule control procedures aligned with scope, cost and quality objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of planning and scheduling experience in EPC, infrastructure or construction projects.
• South African citizen or permanent resident.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 (mandatory).
• Microsoft Project.
• Microsoft Office suite.
• Earned Value Management (EVM) knowledge.
