Building Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Building Maintenance Technician supports safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the operator’s facilities. Working under the Building Supervisor, the technician ensures that maintenance activities meet safety, quality, and asset‑condition standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and verify the quality of maintenance work performed by contracted teams.
• Conduct routine building inspections, condition assessments, and spot checks.
• Follow up on Planned Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), and reactive work orders.
• Validate completed work before work‑order closure, ensuring required comments, photographs, and evidence are recorded.
• Identify, record, and report building defects, deterioration, and non‑compliant work.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical evidence in Maximo.
• Escalate safety‑critical or recurring defects to the Building Supervisor.
• Support achievement of asset availability, safety, and performance targets.

Required profile

• Ability to monitor contractor performance against specifications and safety requirements.
• Strong attention to detail for inspection and documentation.
• Capability to work independently and follow established maintenance procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Maximo maintenance management system.
