About the role
We are seeking a qualified Personal Lines Underwriter to join our short‑term insurance broker office in Knysna. The successful candidate will support advisers by providing accurate underwriting assistance for personal insurance products.
Key responsibilities
- Liaise with clients and advisers to understand coverage needs.
- Prepare quotations for new and existing business.
- Issue new policies, manage renewals and process endorsements.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Record all relevant details in the company’s underwriting and financial systems.
Required profile
- Grade 12 with NQF Level 4 short‑term insurance qualification (RE5 completed).
- 3‑5 years of experience underwriting short‑term personal lines.
- Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and financial underwriting systems.
