P&C Business Partner (Contract)

About the role

Liberty is offering a contract position as a People and Culture (P&C) Business Partner in Johannesburg. The role acts as a strategic advisor to business portfolios, bridging high-level business objectives with the day-to-day employee experience. It suits experienced HR professionals who can turn complex data into actionable insights and work in a fast-paced, multinational financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement P&C initiatives that support business-specific goals and performance metrics.
• Advise senior leaders on leadership development, organisational structure and complex employee relations.
• Use HR metrics and people analytics to measure the impact of interventions and drive data-driven improvements.
• Lead organisational change projects so that changes in strategy are communicated and adopted across the business.
• Support succession planning, talent acquisition and workforce optimisation.

Required profile

• 5 to 10 years in an HR or P&C Business Partnering role, preferably in large, complex or multinational organisations.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business Management or a related field; postgraduate qualifications and professional certifications such as SABPP are an advantage.
• Deep understanding of South African employment legislation.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, influencing and consultation skills, able to present to senior executives.

The role is described as a contract or temporary position, with a typical annual remuneration range of R900,000 to R1.4 million depending on portfolio complexity and appointment level.
