HR Services Partner

About the role

Glencore is looking for an HR Services Partner in Johannesburg, South Africa, to join the EMEA HR Hub. The role delivers HR services across several countries within a global shared services framework, using standardised, documented processes supported by the Service Management tool (Servicely), Workday and established checklists and workflows. It sits within a global shared services model and offers exposure to international HR operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver HR services across the employee lifecycle for multiple countries, following global processes and local requirements.
• Manage and prioritise requests and transactions through Servicely, meeting agreed SLAs.
• Handle onboarding and offboarding, including hiring in Workday, induction coordination and termination processing.
• Process intercompany transfers and keep employee digital personnel records complete and accurate.
• Prepare employment contracts, amendments and termination agreements using approved templates.
• Manage employee and manager queries, monitor cases to resolution and escalate complex or risky cases.
• Run monthly and quarterly Workday reports, validate and reconcile data, and meet payroll-critical deadlines.
• Follow SOPs, knowledge articles and checklists, and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 5+ years in a Shared Services Centre, Global Business Services unit or regional support hub.
• Proven experience supporting multiple countries or business units and working to SLAs.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field.
• Experience in a high-volume, transaction-based environment with a strong customer service focus.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Experience with ticketing and case management platforms such as ServiceNow or equivalent.
• Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP HCM or similar.
