About the role

MSX International is recruiting a Parts Trade Programme Manager for JLR Trade Parts in South Africa, based in Johannesburg. The role takes overall responsibility for developing, implementing and sustaining the commercial performance of the JLR parts wholesale programme, increasing sales of genuine Jaguar and Land Rover original equipment parts to independent workshops, brand specialists and body repairers without cannibalising retailers' existing revenue. The incumbent manages the transition of a fully operational programme to meet 2027 project targets.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess existing wholesale trade operations across the authorised retailer network and identify parts basket opportunities
  • Define the commercial business model, rebate mechanisms, pricing policies and retailer onboarding criteria, and set up programme reporting and data coordination
  • Create customer marketing propositions, trade loyalty initiatives, launch campaigns and retailer communication packs
  • Execute the wholesale strategy, track milestones, run monthly performance reviews and analyse variances against sales targets
  • Manage programme resources such as marketing assets and field support personnel
  • Conduct field visits to evaluate parts departments, design retailer action plans and coach trade sales representatives and parts counter staff
  • Help retailers prospect independent repairers and panel shops, and conduct joint commercial visits to secure trade accounts
  • Monitor competitor distributors, identify market coverage gaps and recommend targeted promotions
  • Quote all commercial models and quotations in ZAR (VAT-inclusive and VAT-exclusive) and comply with POPIA and automotive competition guidelines

Required profile

  • 3 to 5 years in automotive aftersales, with exposure to dealership parts departments and OEM/distributor commercial operations
  • 2 to 4 years of project management or consulting experience, including corporate governance, stakeholder reporting and change management
  • 3 to 5 years of automotive spare parts wholesale trade, independent aftermarket engagement or trade club programme delivery
  • Tertiary qualification in commerce, business administration, economics, engineering or equivalent industry experience
  • Valid South African driver's licence, legal eligibility to work in South Africa, and about 70% to 80% field-based work with overnight stays

Required skills

  • Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with parts catalogue systems and dealership management systems (DMS)
  • Negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills, attention to detail and risk management
