Inside Sales Intern

About the role

Alfa Laval is recruiting an Inside Sales Intern in Johannesburg. The intern sells Alfa Laval transactional products and services within their assigned area of responsibility and provides direct support to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval products and services.
• Investigate and identify the parts and products needed by customers.
• Create and actively follow up transactional quotes.
• Look proactively for upselling opportunities.
• Follow up quotes to check whether the proposed value is understood and matches customer needs.
• Use the CRM tool and other tools consistently and qualitatively to support the sales process and decision making.

Required profile

• Customer-oriented, team player, outgoing and proactive, willing to learn and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Structured approach, comfortable with multiple overlapping assignments, with attention to detail and a holistic view.
• 1-2 years of experience.
• Educational qualification: Engineering or Diploma (Mechanical/Chemical); MBA preferred.
