Part-Time Remote Telehealth Medical Officer (HPCSA Registered)

About the role

This part‑time remote position is for an HPCSA‑registered Medical Officer who will deliver virtual patient care through MedoraOS’s telehealth platform. You will combine clinical expertise with AI‑assisted decision support to optimise workflows and ensure high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Review patient medical histories, consultation notes and AI‑generated clinical insights.
• Conduct telehealth consultations via the MedoraOS platform.
• Make independent diagnoses, prescribe electronically and document treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate, compliant clinical records.
• Collaborate with remote healthcare teams to improve AI‑assisted clinical workflows.
• Ensure all care complies with HPCSA and South African healthcare regulations.

Required profile

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree.
• Registered with the HPCSA and eligible to prescribe medication in South Africa.
• Valid medical malpractice / professional indemnity insurance.
• Completed internship and community service.
• Strong clinical judgment, patient communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working with digital health platforms.
