Operations Supervisor – Durban

About the role

As an Operations Supervisor at Amazon in Durban, you will be the first point of contact for team members on the floor, ensuring that daily processes run smoothly and safely. You will work closely with the Shift/Area Manager to execute the shift plan, monitor performance, and support a high‑performing workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Measure and monitor workflows, track on‑site performance, and relay critical shift information to frontline management.
• Support and train employees, supervising daily tasks to maintain quality, safety, and productivity standards.
• Assist the Shift/Area Manager with projects aimed at process improvement, safety culture, and workforce engagement.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve operational issues and support key performance initiatives.
• Use data analysis to identify opportunities for optimizing safety, quality, and productivity.

Required profile

• High School diploma or equivalent; experience in operations, manufacturing, logistics, production, or supply chain.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to guide a diverse team during shift hours.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and make quick, data‑driven decisions.
