CHEP Pallet Administrator

About the role

The CHEP Pallet Administrator ensures accurate movement, control and reconciliation of pallets across the warehouse network and customer sites. This role supports the CHEP account by maintaining up‑to‑date records and minimizing pallet losses.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain internal and external pallet movement and update the CHEP database for each customer.
• Capture and reconcile daily pallet movements between customers, depots and warehouses.
• Perform weekly and monthly pallet cost and count reconciliations to eliminate losses.
• Liaise regularly with customers on pallet issues, recoveries and outstanding queries.
• Raise queries for incorrect charges or transfers and ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct bi‑weekly physical pallet stock takes, including 3rd‑party warehouses.
• Present pallet reconciliation reports to the Group Supply Chain Manager and sales heads.
• Manage collection of pallets from customers and verify related documentation.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) certificate or equivalent qualification.
• 2–3 years experience in logistics, warehouse administration or inventory control.
• Strong data entry accuracy and proficiency with inventory management software.
